Cajun French Music Association Open Jam
Sunday, June 25, 2023
The West Baton Rouge Museum is the new permanent host for the Cajun French Music Association's Le Jam. Please note that, although the jam is normally on the third Sunday of the month, this month is an exception because of Fathers’ Day. Guests are encouraged to participate!
This month’s jam will be led by accordion legend Reggie Matte, of the Jambalaya Cajun Band!
If you are interested in traditional Cajun and French music, put the 3rd Sundays of the month from 3 to 5 p.m. on your calendar! The West Baton Rouge Museum will be hosting Cajun Jam Sessions sponsored by the Baton Rouge CFMA Chapter. Each month, a different artist will lead a group of interested musicians from throughout the area. So get out your instrument and join in!
The West Baton Rouge Museum is the new, permanent host for this musical event. A space will be set up in the Brick Gallery for musicians, spectators, and even dancers! The West Baton Rouge Museum is located at 845 N. Jefferson Ave., Port Allen. It is a free event and we encourage anyone who is interested to check it out!
Starting in October, and lasting through the cooler months, the Le Jam will take place in the West Baton Rouge Museum Barn. All other months, it will be held in the Brick Gallery.
